National Will Register Certainty Celebrates its 1st Birthday

Following the successful launch in March 2008, the Certainty Will Register (certainty.co.uk) celebrates its first birthday as a resounding success with several hundred firms of solicitors already on board as founding members. In excess of 750,000 Will registrations have already been allocated from the 12.8 million free Will registrations being made available to the general public.
Certainty.co.uk launched the register to the legal profession following a 2-year research and development programme. The register allows registration of a Will and also provides an intelligent search facility giving law firms the ability to search for lost or missing Wills on behalf of their clients.
The Certainty Will Register employs the services of key legal figures as advisors and indeed their chairman is a past Law Society President. This has ensured that law firms can take advantage of a unique combination of resources and benefits designed to assist the legal profession and benefit clients and their families.
Certainty’s chairman and past Law Society President Kevin Martin says, “Certainty took an old idea (a Wills Register), grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and turned it into something that produces enormous benefits for Wills and Probate professionals.” Kevin adds, ”I do understand how difficult things are at present – the credit crunch, property market, the impending Legal Services Act and stark warnings about technology taking over most law firm’s functions.
