Official Will register

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

This is a letter the Certainty National Will Register has received from a member of the public.

I’m looking for somewhere to register my Will as I want to ensure that it’s safe and secure. I don’t actually want to send the will off to anybody. I just want to let my family know where the original is located when I pass on. I’ve done endless research online to find out if there is an official will register. There is a probate register but this means I have to deposit my will there which I don’t want to do and then I would have to rely on my remaining family checking at the register for it. In somewhat of a quandary I decided to ring my solicitor and asked the question is there an official will register where I can register the location of my will?

The same as the last resort is to read the manual to fix something if it is broken, after many hours research, my solicitor simply told me that the official will register they use and many other solicitors is certainty.co.uk. The register records the location of my Will and allows any solicitor to search the whereabouts of my Will when I’ve passed on and a member of my family produces a copy of the death certificate. I have looked at this register and it is as he says very official with leading legal figures and I went on line and registered that it was held at my solicitors. The process took just a couple of minutes, job done, simple!

Be Safe and use Certainty to register a will on the UK’s National Will Register.
