Search for a will

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

This is a letter the Certainty National Will Register has received from a member of the public.

I’m pleased to say that I’ve found a great online service which is assisting me to search for a will. I was really stumped and didn’t know how I would go about this but there is a new national service that allows you to search the national will register and if the will hasn’t been registered it allows you to search for a will via solicitors offices.

In anticipation of finding the will I have had to request a copy of the death certificate as should the search for a will prove positive I will only be informed if a will exists if I can provide proof of death. If the will has been registered, I believe I will be notified within 48 hrs.

If the will hasn’t been registered I believe the whole process can take up to two weeks. I’m not sure whether a will was actually written but for the small amount of money it will cost to perform this search then nothing ventured nothing gained.

The organisation I have used is the Certainty will register who can be found online at www.certainty.co.uk.

Be Safe and use Certainty to register a will on the UK’s National Will Register.
