Official Will register

This is a letter the Certainty National Will Register has received from a member of the public.

I’m looking for somewhere to register my Will as I want to ensure that it’s safe and secure. I don’t actually want to send the will off to anybody. I just want to let my family know where the original is located when I pass on. I’ve done endless research online to find out if there is an official will register. There is a probate register but this means I have to deposit my will there which I don’t want to do and then I would have to rely on my remaining family checking at the register for it. In somewhat of a quandary I decided to ring my solicitor and asked the question is there an official will register where I can register the location of my will?

This is a letter the Certainty National Will Register has received from a member of the public.

So we finally get our Will sorted and can breathe a sigh of relief but where can we store it so it’s easily found? A Will can be easily lost if kept in the home as often happens when people move house, for example. There is also the added question of security; do you want other members of your family to have access to your Will?

On researching the subject of Wills, the facts seem fairly simple. Having one is obviously a good idea so you’re estate is divided according to your wishes. Not having one could potentially cause your family a big headache, extra upheaval and distress and possibly a larger inheritance tax bill that your loved ones could be forced to pay.
